Florida older migrants extreme heat behaviors: How do recent, retired Florida migrants cope with high temperatures? Using survey data, we hope to shed light on how their time use, transportation, and housing conditions play a role in their ability to stay cool. 
Accessibility to care services & Alzheimer's Disease and Related Dementias: Together with Dr. Kyusik Kim and with funding support from the Gateway Exposome Coordinating Center, we are compiling multiple indices of accessibility to care services that could have protective effects against ADRD risk factors. 
Mortgage Information Deserts: The US Dept. of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) subsidizes housing counseling services across the country. Through an independently curated dataset of providers and parcel-level foreclosure data, we are exploring where older adults may be losing access to these services and facing financial difficulties as e-government services rise in popularity, but not discoverability.
Disentangling mobility, cognitive function, and digital behaviors to understand social isolation and dementia risk: a new NIH-funded project that uses multimodal data collection to holistically measure how and where older adults socialize. More soon!
